Keybase is an application to have encrypted group activities. It has a number of tools (chat, git, crypto wallet) and the data is not living in anyones server. Your account exists while you keep devices identified as yours, which is interesting, and you can link accounts in different services to be identified.
Installation is simple and all in the terminal:
curl --remote-name https://prerelease.keybase.io/keybase_amd64.deb sudo apt install ./keybase_amd64.deb run_keybase
Once you complete the steps a giant squirrel greets you and the application fires up.
I don't remember how it was to create a new account, but now I selected my phone as a validation device and added the new machine.
