Brave

Brave

Another browser I use is Brave. I tried to follow the instructions in the installation page, but Ubuntu 19.10 is not supported yet, then I used an unofficial snap.

The call in the command line is:

sudo snap install brave

There is a problem with this snap however. The application starts normally, but when I tried to add it to the favorites, clicking on it does nothing. The problem is already known, then I imagine it will sort out at some point.

Update

The snap was taking too long to start Brave each time, now I tried the instructions again and they worked.

First remove the snap as usual:

sudo snap remove brave

And then go with the repository:

sudo apt install apt-transport-https curl

curl -s https://brave-browser-apt-release.s3.brave.com/brave-core.asc | sudo apt-key --keyring /etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d/brave-browser-release.gpg add -

source /etc/os-release

echo "deb [arch=amd64] https://brave-browser-apt-release.s3.brave.com/ $UBUNTU_CODENAME main" | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/brave-browser-release-${UBUNTU_CODENAME}.list

sudo apt update

sudo apt install brave-browser
